Former UBS CC 40/40 and Twenty20 captain, frequently ranked by the SCTCA as a leading batsman in the league. A useful off break bowler, provides the team with a safe pair of hands behind the wickets or in the infield as well.

UBS CC 40/40 vice captain, frequently ranked by the SCTCA as the best-allrounder in the league. Also dons the wk gloves from time to time.
Our main strike bowler provides decisive breakthroughs for the team while his strong arm in the outfield keeps the opposition from scoring too many runs. Always a fierce competitor, he instills the team with a winning attitude every time UBS CC takes the field.
Led UBS CC and the SCTCA as the most successful bowler in the 2006 season, his hitting prowess and quick running between the wickets provides UBS with a great all-round performance.Capable of hitting some really huge sixes, is a threat down the order and in his role as a closer, where he has helped UBS win some memorable games.
A remarkable batsman and useful off break bowler, is often rated as one of the premier batsmen in SCTCA. Achal’s repertoire of shots includes strong drives and deft touches. He plays shots all round the wicket, is especially strong off his legs, and has the ability to score quickly with spectacular lofted drives. His strike rate is unfortunately not mirrored in his running, where he prefers gentle strolls down the wicket. His slow spinners at times are frustrating to batsmen, often getting important breakthroughs for the team. Achal lives, breathes and .... cricket as his wife Prema will sadly agree.

Amit 'Singh Is King' Bhagat

As president and co-founder of UBS CC, Amit loves his cricket and handles the logistics of running the club. His batting style is quick, entertaining and explosive. A swashbuckling top order batsman, can decimate the strongest and most fearsome attacks by fearless lofted shots and driving. However, consistency is not his forte and has a knack of getting out to some pretty ordinary bowling and ill-timed shots. Bowls some really “snaky” off spin, which troubles a lot of attacking batsmen. However, his greatest strength lies in the somewhat questionable art of sledging, which he has mastered and is often the downfall of opposing batsmen.

Baby 'Silent Killer' Apraim

Soft spoken and well mannered, Baby is the senior in the side. Harbors a deep passion for the game which anyone who has read his emails can attest to. Opens the batting for UBS and can be counted to provide a steady start. He bowls left arm orthodox effectively and exercises great command over the ball, has the ability to vary his length and pace and is very mean with economy rate. He is a safe catcher in the slips as well.

Karthik 'Mad Dawg' Subbarao

Always expect Karhtik to give a 110% in the field and demand the same from everyone else. A useful all-rounder, he is generally sent up the order as an opener but is also available to hit some lusty blows down the order. His sixes over long on and long off are a joy to watch but can be his downfall at times. His deceptive medium pace and accurate line and length(generally) is highly effective. Although age and marriage has mellowed him, be wary of his legendary flare ups. Approach with CAUTION!

Satish 'Bob Harley' Illa

Has played for UBS CC since the club’s inception, but matured as a middle order batsman in the 2007 season with some memorable innings at the pivotal No 3 position. His attacking style and ability to dominate opposition bowlers at will make him an integral part of the team. Also has the ability to bowl slow seamers and has kept wickets from time to time. His laid back style, that is more Caribbean than Indian, and jovial nature make him a great teammate and fun to be around.

Santhosh 'Mango Maan' Sivaramakrishnan

Gifted with good hand-eye coordination and super-quick reflexes, can be a very dangerous batsman on a given day. Has shots all around the wicket and a cool head; qualities that help him in his role as a closer. His innings against New Haven Eagles in a SCTCA league game was worth remembering. Although capable of prodigious “mango, maan!” leg spin, needs to work on his line and length to establish himself as a champion spinner. He’s also a reliable fielder and is slowly starting to establish himself as a dependable batsmen for UBS CC.

Amit 'Shaabji' Sharma

Brings fiery pace to the UBS bowling attack. Capable of extracting bounce even out of seemingly docile tracks, is expected to improve on his performance this year. Quick in the outfield as well.

Chirag 'Chepa' Patel

Useful all-rounder and an exceptional outfielder, Chirag joined UBS CC last season. With some experience, has the potential to become a quality medium pacer. Has the ability to score quickly down the order which coupled with some quick running between the wickets usually swings the momentum in UBS' favor.

Akash Joshi

Vice Captain: 40/40 and Twenty20 team

RHB, RM, WK

A live wire, on and off the field, Akash brings his all-round skills to the UBS lineup. A gifted batsman, has the ability to give the team a flying start or finish the game with some belligerent stroke play down the order. Bowls medium pace and has kept wickets from time to time.

Bhavyen 'Don' Trivedi

Elegant left hand opening bat, who joined UBS CC this season. A replica of Mathew Hayden, has the classic left handers grace and capable of some heavy hitting. A genuine powerhouse, which reflects while he is on the wicket; cracking powerful shots almost at will. His game plan is simple...No respect for any bowler...Simply smack them out of the park. He is also capable of some tricky spin bowling. His cover drives are a joy to watch and has a useful pair of hands in the outfield. He is one of the batsman to watch in the upcoming season.

Hitender Kumar
